TROY STUDIOS FILM HUB

A statement of the ambition of the emerging Limerick, Troy Studios Film hub is the first fully let and operational facility in the Limerick Twenty Thirty portfolio. Located in the former Dell Factory on the outskirts of Limerick city, this 340,000 sq. ft.

The Castletroy site was acquired in October 2015 with a loan from Limerick City and County Council and was renovated into a space for film production.

The Directors of Troy visited Limerick to explore site options during the National City of Culture programme 2014 on the invitation of Innovate Limerick – a company established by Limerick City and County Council to help drive innovation and act as the delivery mechanism for Limerick – and the rest is very positive history.

The first production at Troy Studios, ‘Nightflyers’ is featured on Netflix and represented a big economic boost for the region and the arts and culture scene in Limerick, many of the crew being local-based.

Limerick Twenty Thirty have repaid the Council initial loan in full, which allows the Council to repurpose this money for other community development projects.

Capacity: 340,000 sq. ft., 700+ jobs
Stage: Completed and operational. Sold by Limerick Twenty Thirty in 2022
Completion of fit since: Q4 2016
