Limerick Twenty Thirty will prioritise a number of strategic, attractive sites with vast inward investment potential, planning and redevelopment on some of which is already progressing at pace. These sites include:
The 3.7 acre Opera Site is located at the northern edge of the City’s core commercial area. It comprises part of an existing urban block, bounded by Rutland Street and Patrick Street to the west, Ellen Street to the south, Michael Street to the east and Bank Place to the North.
The 0.6 acre Gardens site is located at the former GPO complex and Roche’s Hanging Gardens Building, Lower Henry Street, Limerick. The site was acquired by Limerick City and County Council together with the adjacent No. 19 Henry Street property in 2014.
Troy Studios, located in the former Dell Factory on the outskirts of Limerick city, is a film hub with 340,000 sq. ft. under one roof, including 70,000 sq. ft. of sound stages with a 50ft. working height.
The 8 acre former Cleeves factory site is located on the northern bank of the River Shannon. The site, measuring 8 acres approx is divided into 2 sections, which straddle both sides of the North Circular Road / O’Callaghan Strand.
